HEERF II – CRRSAA

CRRSAA (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act)
The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) is authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA).

HEERF II provides financial support to institutions of higher education. A portion of each institution’s allocation should be awarded to students in the form of emergency financial aid grants for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 crisis. Information regarding HEERF II can be found below.

Introduction

On December 27, 2020, the President signed the Coronavirus Relief and Response, Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA) (P.L. 116-260). Formula Grant Funds (the “Advanced Funds”) are for the sole purpose of providing emergency Financial Aid Grants. This Funding Policy is created under the provisions set forth by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations. Act 2021 (CRRSAA) under Section 314 (c)(3) which requires that a Financial Aid Grant (Finacial Aid Grants) be awarded to students with great need (exceptional need). This grant can be used by students for cover any component of the cost of attendance or emergency costs as a result of the coronavirus. These costs can be tuition, food, housing, health care and childcare. It is added in this new appropriation that the student You can express your consent to apply the aid to cover any balance you may have with the institution.
